पिछले दिनो 6 जून को जब फाजिल्का के क्लॉक टावर का बर्थडे था तो वहां आयोजित कार्यक्रम में मुझे बुलाया गया. . . वहां माननीय बुलाकी राम जी पैड़ीवाल भी थे. . . बातें करते करते बात कुंए की भी चल निकली. . . श्री बुलाकी राम जी ने बताया कि वहां एक कुंआ था, जिसका पानी बहुत मीठा था . . . उसके निकट अंग्रेज फांसी लगाते थे। वह भी कहते हैं कि यह मैने बुजर्गों से सुना है. . .फांसी के बाद शव पुरानी कचहरी की बैक साइड (सब जेल फाजिल्का के पास) बने एक कमरे में रखा जाता था और वहां डाक्टर पोस्ट मार्टम करते थे. . . शायद यही कारण है कि उसके पास अब जो रोड है . . . उसे डैड हाऊस रोड कहते हैं. . . यह एक अलग बात है, लेकिन इतनी गहराई से खदानों में से रेत निकालना मतलब सरकार को नुकसान देना . . . आखिर कब तक चलता रहेगा यह सिलसिला ????
